Engineering In Torment: Anomy or the Emergence of a Model

Guy Minguet

Résumé

These companies are governed, in a domineering fashion, by the urgency of innovation and the rhetoric of adaptation to the point that these modernizing organizations falter when it comes to planning their continuity and envisaging their future. Pushed to its limits, this process puts individuals’ capabilities to the test in dealing with new forms of uncertitude concerning what they produce and their work procedures, along with their professional sociability and their means of identity-building.
