Dans cet article, nous analysons le meurtre de ʿUṯmān à travers le point de vue de Muḥammad ibn Ǧarīr al-Ṭabarī (310/923), auteur du Tāriḫ al-rusūl wa'l-mulūk. Al-Ṭabarī rapporte de nombreux récits, mais le complot est la grille de lecture principale pour expliquer le meurtre. Le présent article analyse également la signification du meurtre dans le Tāriḫ d'al-Ṭabarī. Abstract : In this paper, we analyse the murder of ʿUṯmān through the point of view of Muḥammad ibn Ǧarīr al-Ṭabarī (310/923), the author of Tāriḫ al-rusūl wa'l-mulūk. Al-Ṭabarī reports many stories, but the conspiracy is the main reading grid to explain the murder. This article also analyses the meaning of this happening in al-Ṭabarī's Tāriḫ.
