Appropriation of interpersonal triadic relationships by autistic children

Résumé

The social difficulties of autistic people could be linked to their difficulty to tolerate triadic relationships. Our approach consists in offering autistic children to regulate exchanges with two therapists. After ten dyadic encounters with a first therapist, the autistic child is invited to accept or refuse the entrance of a second therapist ; triadic encounters are then alternated with dyadic ones. The choices of the child are actively solicited and respected.
First evaluations of six children (5 to 9 years old), diagnosed by ICD10 & ADI R and submitted to VINELAND and CARS-tests, show significant progress.
