Les juristes dans l'espace public

Abstract : The authors intend to analyze how lawyers are involved in public debate, striving to bring their influence on collective choices and policy-making. Depending on the kinds of debates and the resources jurists may rely upon, their intervention, which is mainly based on arguments, is using specific channels showing their singular position in the public sphere. This involvment in the public sphere is certainly not deprived of any effect on the legal field, but shows little impact on policy-making.
