Abstract
We see in this paper that the questions opened in 1864 on the utilitarian status or not of the prehistoric work of art, and that the prehistorians have so much neglected, still arise today.
On voit dans cet article que les questions ouvertes en 1864 sur le statut utilitaire ou non de l’œuvre d’art préhistorique, et que les préhistoriens ont tant négligées, se posent encore aujourd’hui.
