Horaires de travail et société : quels constats, quelles évolutions en Europe et en France ?

Abstract

Working schedules and Society : what outcome and what evolution in Europe and in France? Abstract. Atypical working schedules have been expanding for several years and have become the "standard" in all the European countries. The great variety of working time organization (shift work, night work, weekend work, flexible working hours, split shifts, etc.) is quite different in the European countries, and has multiple impacts on health. These effects depend also on individual and occupational factors, as well as on living and social conditions. So, working time issues have a multidimensional character and need integration of diverse disciplines, such as medicine, physiology, psychology, ergonomics, sociology, economics, etc.
