Observations de l'Alose feinte, Alosa fallax (Lacépède, 1803), dans les marais de Talmont-Saint-Hilaire (Vendée) en 2015
Résumé
Between the end of June and Mid-August 2015 several juvenile Twaite Shad were captured during fishing trips in
the marshes of Talmont-Saint-Hilaire in Vendée (France). Local residents also state that this species has been present in the
past. Nevertheless, these captures do not determine whether the species breeds in the rivers flowing into the marshes, or if
they arrived from the sea. These casual records reinforce the considerable ecological interest of the estuary by adding a species
which is rare, threatened and protected.
